No definitive answer for why it is more, but apparently it is not a 3-stage paint process nor does it have a tint coat. Perhaps blue pigment costs more than any other color?

GM will charge what ever we will pay. It usually has nothing to do with their cost just what the market will bare. They just increased the F55 price because we will pay it. It's the American way.
