Default Scuff marks on black interior

Hello All! I have to say, I'm addicted to this forum! Lots of fun, great way to pass a few down time minutes during the day.

So here's my problem. Getting in and out my Mont Red w/ebony interior has created quite the scuff marks on the "corvette" decal inside floor door panel. Any great, creative ways to get them off? I've tried several different cleaning solutions and no luck.

Help for heels pleeezzz!!!

Try using the Mr Clean Eraser. It should do the trick. You can get it at your local supermarket in the cleaning supplies isle.

Right. Even K-Mart and Wally World now carry them. They are especially good for scuff marks on the lower part of the door.

Will these work on the upper part of the door panel above the arm rest?

Mr. Clean works pretty well but I would recommend that you don't use it very aggressively. I've seen Mr. Clean remove more than intended with over agressive use.

Yep, I use'em all over the door. But, as ike pointed out, they clean so good, you don't want to put too much pressure behind them or overuse them on one spot at one time.

I've found that even warm water and a soft towel will remove most

I use Mcquires Nano and it appears to work fine.

Having these two products on hand will always work the easiest and 100% of the time. Krud Kutter and Butter wax from Adams - That's it!
Depending on what the scuff is from one (or the other) will do the job.

I just used Maguire's cleaner wax to no avail, went to Blue Coral cleaner wax - no good- settled on ZUD Cleanser on a terry cloth towel with my finger tip and did the job. I have a Monte red with Cashmere and also have black marks on the door trim, they did not entirely come off. Perhaaps my boat cleaner for black streaks will work.

I've found that lifting my feet up a bit higher when getting in and out of the car really helps too. But I don't wear heels either!

I bought a "bottle" of armor all interior wipes - keep em in the secret compartment in the rear. Pull one out, wipe down you're done!

Does the armor all do a good job?

OK Vette dude, you cracked me up

Glad to hear your not wearing heels Would've been a little concerned with a corroborated story from you!

I did try the magic erase and it helped with the marks on the painted portion very well but not the decal or the bottom of the door. Will take my weekend and do some shopping!

Thanks all for your responses! Julie

Yep - works fine for minor scuffs and dirt - but I see now you are probably worried about black marks - I guess I agree with vetdude there ;-)
