I did, searched on both "intake" and "induction"...most were autocross inspired. But thanks for the reply, I'll post a which color is faster poll next. Maybe follow it up with auto vs. manunal question...
Ok, time to have some fun with upgrades. I'm adding Corsa Sports, and looking to get a new intake for my C6. Now taking recommendations! Thanks.
I've seen some good reports on the forum on LPE (I've done business with LPE and they are terrific to work with) and Callaway.
I have also seen reports that the aftermarket intakes are not any better than the stock system or only marginally so.
I have the Corsa Touring and they sound great. Reports however say that they don't make any additional HP. Headers, on the other hand, make some significant HP gains. Lots and Lots of opinions on this forum. Do a search and settle in for a lot of reading.
Then, I would find a reputable tuner in your area and ask him what he recommends to make some power. Remember - it ain't in the saying, it's in the doing.
Hey bud.....I added the BPP Vortex Ram cold air intake and the Corsa Sports exhaust and the 2 together made a dramatic difference, especially at 50mph and above. Hope this helps. Don't let it bother you about people telling you to use the search function. If everybody used the search there would never be any more posts in this forum. I think that it gives some guys the smug feeling that they know it all.

Upgrades are always fun but be prepared to discern what is a poor gain to you may be a good gain to someone else... My guess is (and its just that) you probably wont see much difference in performance until you put on headers and do a tune. Thats when I think you'll start to really feel a difference. Then you can get into bolt ons or cams and such if you wish. I put a vortex and Corsa Indy's on my C5 and did see a difference. However, what Ive read on here since the advent of the C6infers the intake and exhaust are not too bad so you may not see a similar enhancement. BUT, I readily admit I could be wrong...

It irritates me when I see useless posts. Thanks for being the first member to try to answer his question. People seem to be a bit punchy on here lately.
Btw: I've got Corsa Sports and I've been looking too. The guys on the C6 Tech/Performance have been pretty good about posting on this topic. The Callaway Honker has the best fit/finish of the group. There are cold air intakes (require cutting the stock shroud) and "cone filter" types which still breathe in relatively warmer engine compartment air. The downfall with the "bottom breathers" is the possibility of water ingestion (if you're driving in super heavy rain or screwing around in puddles). The "cone filter" types have ease of installation. Good luck on your search.

Seriously, just buy whichever one you can afford and whose looks you find appealing. As long as it's from a reputable vendor, you'll be fine. There is so much debate over which is better. I honestly don't think there's enough a difference to warrant the fights that have started over it. Just buy one, install it, and never read another intake post again. Or else you'll be second guessing your decision no matter what you bought.

Best intake is FAST, no question, no argument. Second best would be having someone port your existing intake.
If you actually meant best air cleaner housing, it doesn't much matter. They're all within about 2 inches of H2O of each other at the maximum flow the LS2 is capable of achieving. That's 0.005 atmosphere, or roughly the difference in flow between a new air filter element and one that's been on the car for 1,000 miles.
I did alot of searching and finally decided on the:
Vararam intake, with the Throttle body spacer, and the pre-cut shroud.
The pre-cut shroud was important to me if I ever decided to sell it an want to put it back to stock.
If I did not go Vararam I would have stayed stock, but I have seen actual people make great improvements at the track with the Vararam, some as much as 1/2 second in the 1/4 mile, but more typically 2/10-3/10, which is still quite respectable.
The only thing I worry about is hydrolocking the engine if caught in a heavy downpour with lots of pooled water. But, I figure if I drive slow and try to avoid huge puddles I should be OK.
I think even if you drove through a puddle and just went slow and did not go heavy on the throttle, it will not suck in any water, at least not up that high.
I know of many members with the Vararam (or any other bottom breather for that matter) and have not heard of this problem with anyone.
