HELP!
Today I’m am attempting to install a MID AMERICA MOTORWORKS CAGS (skip shift) by-pass harness. I have been unable to insert the CAGS harness into the car wiring harness (it will only go in about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way) the male female sockets connectors cannot be pushed home. I have tried channel locks but that only causes the two connectors bind in a sideways motion.
I think you have the wrong connector. If you look above the connector you are trying to use on the transmission there is another connector. The wire should be labled "Skip shift," or something similar to that.
