No, the VIN number does not contain the build date. The build month/year are on a label on the drivers door. To get the exact build date, contact the NCM.

He has access to the GM VIS (any dealer will also) and they can run a report with your VIN number that will give you the information. Even your build sheet from the NCM will not have the exact date that your car came off the line. We've seen variation of as little as 4 days to as much as 3 weeks from the date on the build sheet to the VIS actual build date.
