Default i dont get it.

i am buying the c6 07 soon.

there are two kinds as u know which are f55 and z51.

well,, as my knowledge that the f55 has two settings of suspention and the z51 has the stiffer suspention and better cooling system.

which one is more comfortable? well, i guess the f55 is more comfortable. if its so, does the z51 uncomfortable?

and does the z51 faster and better in cornering?

i live in a very hot area. so, i need a better cooling system for the engine, and for my requirement i need a comfortable c6 that handles well and blow my mind.

is there anew feature of the 07 suspention?

i need ur help ppl..

thanks

Default Vettes

Z51-beefier SUSPENSION,OIL + TRANNY COOLER'S,DIFFERENT GEARING WHICH MAKES IT A LITLLE QUICKER,BUT NOT MUCH. F55-adjustable-more cushy ride-the cadillac of vette's,as it were. The ride in the Z51 is not bad,I have one.As far as overheating,I wouldn't worry no matter which one u get.

Actually, there is a THIRD suspension type...the base suspension. If you haven't owned Corvettes or performance cars before, the base suspension is probably a good starting point for you. Try to drive all three suspension types, and decide what's best for you.

I drive my Z51 everyday and like it. It has larger sway bars and stiffer springs and shocks (and other non-suspension stuff). The F55 has similar sways and springs as the base, with adjustable shocks. I'd rank the rides:

Z51: firm but not harsh; tight, crisp handling
F55 on "sport": firm; but does not handle quite as well as Z51
base: not too firm, not too soft; but does not handle as well as the above 2
F55 on "touring": soft, very comfortable; but does not handle as well as the above 3

z-51 is not that much "stiffer" than stock. Drove an 05 z-51. I own an 06 stock. Try to TD them all. I didn't see a noticeable advantage or disadvantage "stiffness" to z-51, so I choose stock. It's all how much you want to spend and personal taste.

Stock was just fine for me.

No, your information is incorrect. There are 3 kinds, coupe, convertible, and Z06. Z51 is a performance handling package that includes different suspension, among other things. F55 is another suspension package. Both of these are available only on the coupe & convertible.

The extra cooling is not needed if you live in a very hot area. Even if it's 120 out, the regular cooling is plenty unless you're on the racetrack.

Besides, it isn't engine cooling....

thanks people for the information.

i am 25 years old, doing construction business and studying at the same time. i will be graduating soon hopefully, and i need a corvette c6 coupe 6 speed manual to rest my mind after graduation by looking at the beautifull design and shape everyday and enjoy that beautifull drive.

i think this is the car value for money,, it will be the only car i have and i worked so hard to collect money to get the car i need. so, i really need your help people.. i dont want to feel sorry by picking the wrong type os suspention package.

if u were me, which one will you get
1- the Z51or
2- F55

does the Z51 uncomfortable?

thanks

I'd do the z51, but again the base maybe all you need. If I had to choose between those two I would do z51. The Vette is all about performance, not xlr type ride control. Just my opinion. Everyone has their favorite.

I would bet a large amount of money that 90% of c6 buyers, and I'm NOT TALKING FORUM HARDCORES, could not ID base from z51, to F55 if given the opportunity to drive all 3. This forum makes buyers and owners defensive of their decisions and more owners wouldn't have anymore clue as to what they were driving then if you asked them to ID a Coor's light from a Keystone light.

Excellent point. Too bad all those non-Forum types are not here to learn more about their wonderful automobiles.

If my Z-51 MN6 can haul my fat 58 yr old butt comfortably it will for U as well.

1. Z-51 Oil & Tranny Cooler while not a necessity will add longevity
2. Lower gearing in 1-3
3. Bigger Brakes
4. Grippier tires
5. Great suspention
6. Higher resale value
7. Makes Chicks want to give it up more easily

It's a no brainer especially when your buds ask, "Did you get the Z-51?"
