the new vettes will be on the GMS list, sales aren't strong enough to keep them off. GMS and GMID have been openly offered by many dealers on this forum for almost all of the 06 model year. compare that to 05 and it's quite a difference. that trend is indicative of the sales demand, if it's very easy to get the discount, it must be relatively harder for the dealers to sell the cars. if it's hard for the dealers, GM is not going to keep the vette off the GMS list, they want the cars sold too. i'd guess you'll even see some rebates start up mid year, but that's just IMO.
GM is just slow in getting things updated which is why they don't have any of the discounted 07 pricing (GMS/GMID) up yet on their sites.
I tend to agree with you. BUT, in 2005 the Corvette was on and off all year long. They changed the eligibility a few times during the model year. I know, I bought my current car at GMS the last day it was available on the 2005's before it was taken back off (it was added back about a month later).
Here's another tidbit many of you may not know about GMS on a C6:
If you qualify, and get a C6 under GMS program, you must own it for 2 years. It's part of the rules. If you sell it before 2 years, the family member who got you the certificate loses his GMS giving priveleges for some amount of time...not sure how long though. The C6 is one of the only cars GM sells (the only one I think) that has this rule. All other vehicles are 6 months. It's to keep employees from reselling and making money on the car. 2 friggin' years!
Any GM employee lose a LONG-LOST BROTHER??? Look no further, HERE I AM!!!!!! ........by the way, could you hook me up with the purchase of a C6 via the GMS program?!?

yeah, that's what i was getting at..
it was on and off in the 05 model year (and the dealers were pretty stingy with it)
then in 06 is was around all year from what i remember, didn't seem to be any of that on again off again business from the intro year - plus a couple of the forum dealers were accepting it through the whole year (and pretty much ALL of them right now).
so it would seem to follow logic that there wouldn't be any logical reason for gm to keep it off at all in 07, but then again i did just say "gm" and "logical" in the same sentence which may not be wise...
