Default ZWINBACK Code-XM Renewal

Time for me to renew My XM radio--They want $142.45 for a year.

Ain't happening-Would someone PM me the code that goes along with
ZWINBACK.
Thanx in advance if someone does.

Jeepers.

I received a renewal notice with a number code on it. They wanted $158.00 for the year. I called them up and told them about the ZWINBACK promotion and I got it for $77.00 for the year.

She gladly did.

Just renewed earlier this week. I called and told them I wanted to renew and had the promotion code ZWINBACK for $77.00 a year. After a couple of minutes, she took my credit card information and it was done. Easy.

Using the code is a no brainer. I couldn't get the $77.00 price the first time I called so I waited until the next day and after two tries got it for the right price.

Same experience for me...not code needed or given (Beyond ZWINBACK).

Because I renewed last year @$77 using my credit card, they took it upon themselves to use my card number this year w/o my authorization and renewed my account for 3 months @$32.38. I told them that I objected and was told that I did authorize the charge by letting them keep my credit card number on file.

So I told them if I renewed at all, it would have to be at the $77 ZWINBACK rate. The guy saaid I couldn't have it; my car was not eligible. Huh? So, I told him to cancel the whole thing. Well, it's been a week, and they haven't done it.

The code is "zwinback" but they will also ask for your ID number which is found on station one I believe (Or is it 0?)

Default Tell them to bill you

Dont' give them a credit card number ... you may be sorry you did in a year when they automatically charge your card for the full price in a year.

They did the same thing to me BUT charged me for a year @ $168.24 using my credit card # from my $77 renewal. I cancelled the day
I got the Credit Card bill when I was told by XM that they would "have" to charge me for two months and a full years taxes since they couldn't refund taxes. A dispute is recorded with the Credit Card Co. and XM has not been paid anything.

You have to cancel by phone and it's one of those pick an extension and be put on hold for the next available minimum wage operators phone menus. I suggest calling again a day later and cancelling again. XM claimed they had no record of me cancelling the first time.

Got the $77 rate for the second year using "Zwinback". By the way, I would suggest you call for renewal on a WEEKEND!

I just renewed mine at the $77 ZWINBACK rate on July 13th. The trial period was going to expire on July 18th.

When the customer service rep finally came on line after along hold she asked how she could help me today.

I told her I was calling to renew my XM radio at the ZWINBACK rate of $77 per year.

She replied "no problem"

She asked if there was a promotional code the card I recieved to which I replied no. (I didn't get a ZWINBACK card but didn't tell her.).

She gave me the option of being invoiced or paying by credit card, I choose Invoice.

I think it helps to make the first words out of your mouth a pleasant announcement that you are calling "To renew XM at the $77 ZWINBACK rate."
That way you have told them your position before they can start a sales spiel and they know you expect that rate. That won't guarantee you get the rate, but it puts them on notice that's what you expect without being confrontational.
