Hot Engine Air conditioning off
So my wife is driving to work this morning and the DIC gives this display. She shuts the car off and calls me.So I ask what is the coolant temperature is. She says 100 degrees. So I ask her to read what the gauge button is reading. she gets to coolant temperture and it reads xxx. So I check the radiator fan and its running. The coolant level is good. So off to the dealership we go.Has anyone seen this?

It would be hard to explain to a wife how a hot engine sounds/looks: hissing, creaking/snapping/popping as it cools after shutdown, maybe some extraneous steam/humidity, feeling heat on your face...

I don't any message displayed but I do notice that the control panel changes (the bars to represent how hi/low the fan is running) disappears. It's kind a wacky.

A little line I always like to quote from the movie "Fletch".

FYI the C6 does not have a temperature sensor. Check out this recent post.

If you want to see the coolant temperature sensor, look in the driver-side cylinder head just in front of the Number 1 cylinder exhaust port...Or, if you have the 2006 Service Manual, you can see a diagram with it on the bottom of page 6-213.

It's been awhile since I read that post. It's the low coolant sensor in the surge tank that was eliminated.

I had the exact same thing happen to my 2007 C6 today, June 16, 2018.
Temperature gauge bottomed out to nothing (100) and reading "Hot engine Air conditioning turned off" Coolant level good. Radiator fan running...no leaks.
See3See6....what did you find out from the dealership?
Was there an answer to this question that I didn't read?
Was the C 184 connection bad or was it loose?

Yes; Batman75; I saw that; and thought that I'd put a comment here before I made a new post.
Wonder what the outcome was since the dealership said that it was a C 184 connection that was bad/loose....then someone said that C 184 was a code relating to the fuel tanks and that must have been a false code.
I appreciate the reply, bud.

I checked them both soon afterward and found no obstruction.
One of my vette buddies told me it might be a computer "glitch" and to let it cool down and turn it on again and again to see if it would correct itself.....I did that and NO...it did not.
Same message, a little rough to start, and fan running extra hard from the get go even when the engine is cold.
Hmmmmmm?
Thanks, Vettamous......
