Default Melted rubber?

I've got multiple gray-colored, rubberish-textured "drips" coming from the edges of the underbody panels. Never noticed it before tonight while washing off the weekend's bugs. Several of the "drips" are 2+ inches long.

A few forum searches revealed nothing. What are these things?

TIA, John

Upload them to Photobucket.com and then copy and paste the IMG link that shows right below each picture to your post. It's very simple once you've done it once.

If it's a light gray and hard rubber, I think it's a sealant that GM uses to seal the bottom panels underneath the car.

Ja!...Das ist gut!

Better too much than too little...that's the adhesive that bonds the balsa composite floorboards in place. Take a grinder and knock them off if they bother you; but leave a nice generous bead right at the floor board. I would be careful breaking them off by hand...you could fracture the adhesive up into the joint.

Thanks for the help! I knew that transmission tunnel was warm, but holy schnikees. I'll get after them with a box cutter to clean it up.

Sorry, John, but I'm afraid your car is trashed. I'll take it off your hands for 10 thousand. Well, since you seem like such a nice guy, I'll give you 15 thousand. When can I pick it up?
