I have noticed that our navigation system is off by about 50 give or take when it comes to showing addresses. For example 25 Main Street, shows on the nav screen at 75 Main Street. Is there a way to calibrate the system so the the numbers show where they belong?
I asked "support.na@teleatlas.com" about this ~2yrs ago. They said there is nothing they can do about it because street addresses are determined by an algorithm. If the houses on the street in question are particularly far apart or close together, then the addresses are correspondingly inaccurate.
Regarding my home address, I saved it and repositioned it as follows: First, I saved it as a "Memory Point;" then went to "Stored Locations;" listed my stored memory points; selected the address in question from the list; pressed the "Position" soft-key on the next screen; and moved the memory point to where I wanted it to be.
Do you happen to have version 1.0 of the Nav disc? When I first got mine, the address numbers & destinations were quite wacky but since I got 2.0 last November they've been almost always right on .
