Default When the Z06 is down to 250 hp they will add an auto option.

Absolutely! IMO if you want an auto in a Z06 you have no business with the car in the first place. I'll tell you IMO when an auto will be put into the Z06: When the number of accidents with the car reach the point that most companies will not insure it GM will start to decrease the hp. At that point they will add the auto.

Yes, I agree with one poster who said that a Z06 with auto was like a Z51 with an auto. I mean, like, with the Z51 manual you get .1 seconds faster quarter mile times than non-Z51!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow. How could anyone decline such a significant performance boost by going with an auto? With the Z51 auto you don't get the powerful ultra extra special gearing that permits this blinding increase in performance!

IMO all of course. Z51: " A legend in your mind." I'd like to see a Z51 and a Z06 on a quarter mile track side by side. That would be sweet.

ps. think they won't ever 'detune' the Z06? Ha. You didn't live through the sixties and seventies like some of us did then. Lots of things happened that nobody would have predicted including vettes that had virtually NO power.

I Just read that last POST and I Am Sweating Like a ***** IN CHURCH! 250HP Z06!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH Is This a Horror Movie? Shew-Glad it was just a post on C.F. I was young but I remember the gas crunch in the 70's! I remember my parents having to gas up on Odd and Even plate number days! That was when all the Automakers really pulled back H.P.! Many Camaros Were sold with V6's and even the V8 were B.S. Cars! 1976-1984 was a tough time for finding a muscle car! You had to do MODS MODS MODS and then Even More MODS....Thank God This Is 2006!
