Default How Do I Remove Tire Paint
One of the tires has 1600 painted on the sidewall. What is the easiest way to remove this. The methods I have attempted have had little impact.

i'm confused, why was 1600 painted on the tire? and i'd try a solvent like turpintine or even gas. it won't hurt the tire. not for just a little bit of rubbing one time.

Wesleys Bleach White tire cleaner. (spelling may be off)

The numbers you sometimes find on tires is the sequence number for the build of that car.

The best way to clean rubber is with a wire brush and soap.

The "best" way to get paint off of tires: use steel wool (non-soap type). Do not wet it, just rub it off..
