Here's my 2 cents. Black is the only color car/truck I buy. I think that a black car, ESPECIALLY a vette, looks racier, meaner and more like a mans car period. My brother-in-law has owned 4 corvettes (green, blue, white and currently silver). To me they all looked like mild versions of a sports car. Don't get me wrong VERY nice versions, but definitely not my "thing".
These are only my opinions. Like someone said here already, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"
BTW my black/black '07 vette should be in my driveway by Friday.
I have a black C6 and wouldn't have it any other way, and especially not red Hmm, I wonder if it's a common thing among owners of black cars to dislike red cars and vice versa
Just for the sake of conversation, I sold a black car (I had to wash it every other day) and bought a red Vette (don't wash near as often and looks great even when not perfectly clean). Now that I've had black, I'll never go back. No offense.
How can black be .2 seconds faster in the quarter mile? This sounds absurd to a new car enthusiast like myself.
If this is true, can you give the reason why black is faster than other colors. If anything I would think it would run slightly hotter and thus would be slightly slower.
I am in the market for black as well... if this is true (hard to believe) I might have no other choice than to go black.

Black attracts the entire light spectrum, so light actually pushes a black car AS LONG as you are going away from the Sun. Going into the sun, you actually go that much slower. Good wax will bounce the spectrum that much better!
My C6 is the fourth black/black coupe I've owned (89, 94, 97, 05). Black is without a doubt a very high maintenance color but when it's gleaming there is no other color that can match it. There is no equal to the depth you can get with black. It's a lot of work but worth it to me when my car is shining like glass.

...actually, it is .18623004 sec faster...most people round up (looks faster)
and don't forget the thermodynamics eq...that allows black to absorb more nrg, thus makes 400.0008 hp!

IMO all colors are hot. For me it was a choice between black or silver.
I went with black and have not one regret. Even though I am 100% satisfied with my choice, siver w/ red looks great together.
Just keep that black shining and nothing can touch it!
I have a black coupe with comp gray wheels on order. The color decision was very difficult but I knew I wanted the comp gray wheels. I also have the optional two tone gray interior. Would you happen to have any pictures of your car? Thanks.

black is absolutely brutal to keep clean, but completely worth it. I love my vette in black, and personally i think it makes the car look much better. i'd like to think i am somewhat unbiased as this is my first black car.
