When are VIN # assigned?

VIN's are assigned about 10 days before your car comes off the line. As part of your Museum Delivery, your delivery team can get the VIN for you. Dealers can not get the VIN until after the car is completed.

With C5's you could call the Chev 800 customer assistance # and tell them your order # and they would tell you your vin # once Detroit has released the car order to BG for production. That is usually the 10 days before production as mentioned.
