A local dealer agreed to accept GMID on my order for a 07. Looks like I should be able to pick it up next week (stoked about that!). I noticed on the certificate it says to bring along a paycheck stub. I am self-employed, so I don't have one available. My question(s) is have any of you been in the same situation and what was the outcome? I was wondering about what purpose the stub would have anyway? If any of you can help it might prevent a train wreck next week.
Under the actual supplier program you are required to provide a pay stub to prove that you actually work for the employer. But with GMID that all goes out the window since these certificates can be given to anyone. The result is that you dont need it.

Thanks in advance, Dick
Take a copy of your last tax return, which he probably won't want to keep. He's just following GM's rules; GM actually has a staff of auditors that go out and check the GM Supplier/GMID deals and paperwork to make sure they're legitimate.
