stupid question here
having the doors open, all the courtesy lights come on. I was under the impression that pressing the dimming **** in will turn them off, saving the battery. Mine never turn off, am I missing something?

The owner's manual tells you that the dash light trimming switch will turn the interior lights on and off, but I don't think it will turn them off if the doors are open. I've never tried it, but if someone else doesn't, I can try it tomorrow.

One of the settings you have in the DIC allows you to set the length of time the interior lights will stay on after exiting the car. The interior lights will stay on until the door is closed and the timer counts down to the selected time.

the lights on the rearview mirror act as dome lights. It really disturbs me that all the interior lights stay on with the doors open, no timer or anything

My fog lamps stay on 15 seconds. You can set them longer if you want.
