Living in Hawaii (better know as HELL) the Corvette doesn't come with XM or Navigation!! Does anyone know if you can install these factory options post purchase????
I could be wrong, but I don't believe that you can. Something about the location of the GPS equipment built into the car if I remember correctly. I am recalling this from a post I read here almost a year ago. In the coupes there was supposedly something in the roof bar which allows it to work. I don't know where it is in the verts.
Surprised about your remarks re Hawaii. Always thought it was a nice place to live.

You could install the hardware yourself. It'll fit, and hook up to the car's electrical system. But XM won't work in Hawaii due to the satellite orbital slots used by XM. In other words, the sats are below your horizon. GPS will work in Hawaii of course (that's why it is called the Global Positioning System), but the Nav map disc they give us doesn't include Hawaii, so you wouldn't be able to actually use it to navigate streets and addresses.
Unless you're prepping the car for a move back to the continental US, you'll be better off checking what's available in the aftermarket for your location.

Being a member of the Military I'll probably move back stateside in the next year and would like to keep the OEM look to the insude of the vette. That's why we were interested in the XM and Nav system. Just didn't know if it would be available to purchase when I get back stateside.

If you haven't bought the car yet, I'd strongly advise you to order it with factory installed Nav and XM. Even though Hawaiian dealers may not stock cars with those options, you can get them if you order the car (and may I suggest you'll get a better price if you order from a forum dealer).
It is not a simple plug and play to add the Nav hardware, and there have been issues with availability of Nav units through the parts channel. So it is better to get them on the car from the factory. You'll save about a $1,000 buying them that way too.
