Ok, I'm picking up the beast this afternoon and I'm already thinking about MODS!. In my previous life of 911's air intakes were everywhere but the reality was, unless you wanted better engine sound, they actually did little for performance. True on the C6 or is there really an improvement and, if so, which one seems to work the best?
The car sounds like a castrated kitten stock so obviously there needs to be a cat-back installed that doesn't have too much (read; almost no) resonance. Any suggestions?

welcome. There are literally over 100 threads on those two subjects alone on either the general or the tech forum. Both the air intakes and the catback system give very negligible performance gains. From what I have seen, a catback will give you sound as the gm exhaust is actually a very high flow model already, and the intake will maybe give you +10 HP, maybe. Search around a bit and you will see opinions on the matter, especially for droneless systems (corsa/magnaflow).
