NOOO First DBS YAY Priority Start
05 M6 with 8400 miles. Went out to the car and nothing completly dead. CRAP. Use the key to open hatch, used release on the door and got in. Only thing I found different is I did not engage the parking brake(not the first time).
Pushed in the cigarette lighter and watched her power up. I installed the priority start about 2 months ago. Best $30 I ever spent.
Atleast if it happens again I know I am covered

I don't set my emergency brake a lot and have never had DBS on my 05 MN6. The only problem is the seat and steering wheel don't retrack. I have read on the forum where dealers will install the PS for the customer.
Found a marine unit on Ebay. Contacted PS and they are interchangable. This is the guy. Price is a little more, but shipped them right out.

Easy to install and you could always pull it off if you think the dealer willl have issues.

The Priority start shuts off the battery from the car. Pushing the cigarette lighter in causes enough new demand on the battery that causes the Priority start to reconnect. I know that isn't the correct technical description but .. pushing the lighter in is a priority start thing.

Priority start actually does disconnect the battery to protect it against whatever is causing the drain. On mine, I just had to reset the clock and reindex my windows. Other than that, everything else was ready to go. Great peace of mind product!
PriorityStart does the job and picks up the loose ends chevy missed when they built our 05 C6's. Very happy with mine. I no longer run the risk of being stuck somewhere needing a jump start.
