To do, or not to do...
id sell the two bikes since you are thinking about it anyway. then id go buy the c6 with the money you make off the bikes.
As a result, I decided to sell all the bikes and trailer...took a financial beating, but using the cash to buy a C6!
Don't get me wrong, I love riding, but I would count your blessings that you and your wife had a number of good years riding, and maybe its time to move onto something else.
That is what I did, and I now have a number of things planned for my new 07 C6...all the aftermarket stuff just like I did with my bikes...the only difference is there will be 2 extra wheels and will be around to see my 1-year old baby girl grow-up.
All the best with the decision

I love riding...it's a passion of mine, but I rarely ride on the street. Whenever someone tells me they are considering buying a street bike (this happens often 'cause my bike fetish is apparent
), I tell them DON'T DO IT! It's far too dangerous (I speak from experience, having donated portions of several internal organs to the local medical waste bin).If you & your wife love riding as I do, but like the idea of living a little longer, consider selling the HD's, get a couple of comfortable sport oriented bikes, and do trackdays. Believe me, you'll have so much fun riding on the track, you won't miss riding on the street at all.
BONUS: Track bikes are cheaper to buy/maintain, leaving enough left over for that shiny new C6.

Imagine how you'd feel if he stupidly took your sage advice and instead of having withdrawal in a few weeks, he gets wiped out and is a quadriplegic forever, God forbid. How'd you feel then, smart guy?
