This looks very cool. Are the areas between the squares water-tight? In other words, if you mop the floor do you need to worry about water getting under the squares and mildewing?
I looked at buying it also. The sales person I spoke with stated it would not with stand the pressure of a 4 post hoist or wide car tires and 3/4 ton truck turning around inside a larger shop. The mildew question is also an issue he could not answer but I know it is not waterproof. They had it on special for under 2 bucks a square foot. I wouldn't make the purchase based on my questions. Sure looks great though !

Water will drain through the seams.
However the underside of the tiles is composed of hundereds of "fingers" (kind of like an upside down bed of nails) that, if your garage has a mild slope toward the doors as most do, will allow water to run out unless you have a floor with lots of bumps and dips. (Which in that case it's not a candidate for a plastic tiled floor anyway.)

I don't know about the hoist but my Hummer parks on it every night and no problem. I doubt this was Race Deck brand tile you were inquiring about because you will never see it for under $2 per sq ft, guaranteed. I also have jacked my C6 on it and no problem.
