Default flowmaster vs corsa vs??

I have been looking at catbacks, and have seen the flowmasters to be much less expensive. any particular reason I shouldn't go with the flowmasters?

Thanks

I have my flowmasters in the garage but have not installed them yet. There are two things I would like to say about them.

1: They seem heavy. Although I haven't removed the stock mufflers to compare.
2: The price was definately right. they were 364.00 delivered. It seems flowmaster doesn't add the "Corvette Tax" to their parts.

Do a forum search for Flowmaster. Someone recently post a review with pics and a sound clip.

Hope this helps.

I bought my first C6 catback brand NEW, Bullets for $950 shipped.

AFTER that mistake I would never buy NEW again for $1000.

I then bought my Magnaflow #15884 catback (MSRP = $1259) used for $500 shippeed.
It works well on my C6 Vert with the auto tranny, but not aggressive enough for me for my 6 speed manual coupe.

So for my C6 Coupe manual I bought a Corsa Sport Quad tip catback (MSRP = $1169) used for $400 shipped.
EXCELLENT sound, I just wish it were slightly louder, but Headers will fix that

NOW, if I were buying NEW, Flowmaster would be my 1st choice.
How can you beat under $400 shipped to your door

Out of all the C6 catbacks I have heard, I would rank them like this:

1st - Corsa Sport
2nd - Magnaflow
3rd - GHL
4th - Bullets

On a Manual tranny I would put the GHLs 2nd and Magnaflow 3rd.

I love my Flowmaster system!I can't say they felt any heavier to me than stock-if anything they felt lighter. The sound to me is very satisfying-as velvety smooth and soulful as Barry White's voice.I just never tire of listening to it.

This is probably like comparing apples and oranges but after having Flowmasters on my '95 C4, I'd never put them on anything again. My head still hurts from that resonance.

i put on the corsa sports with the pro-series tips. they look great and give me the sound i wanted, without drone. if you are looking for the 60's muscle car sound, the corsa may not be for you, but if you want a good idle sound, a more sophisticated acceleration sound, and reasonably quiet at cruise, the corsa's are it. i paid 1041 shipped.

hope this helps

My car is a MN6,and I don't notice any drone with this new Flowmaster system.Flowmaster has engineered this system specifically for the C6 to eliminate drone, and I feel they have done an excellent job.Just one person's experience.

Default drone

I may just order the flowmasters. I am worried about drone, however, and if they are bad, I may have to sell them used. $400 is much better than $1000, and worth the try for me I think.

I have not looked into them in quite a while, but if I remember right, the Flowmasters did not use to be Stainless Steel, which is why they were so much cheaper. Is this still the case?
