wiper problem today

wiper problem today
What an experiance I had at 4:30 am this morning on the Fla turnpike!
The down pour of the rain storm was unreal,all of a sudden the wipers stopped! In the middle lane I could not tell which way was right left up or down,So I moved over to the shoulder and I knew I was there by the sound of the rumble strips.
For 15 minutes I waited then turned around to go back to the dealer,
It turns out the wiper motor just took a dump.
Only a 1000 miles on this car but I guess this can happen to anyone.
I am in a sunbird
rental until hopefully tomorrow sometime.

You and your baby should NOT be out in the rain at 4:30 A M!!!!!! Glad they were able to diagnose it quickly. My 2004 Audi A8Ls wipers will stop mid way across the windshield for no apparent reason. The dealer cant figure it out! I cant figure out the dealer!
If it had not rained I would have found out sooner or later

Sorry about your problem, should be an easy fix.
FWIW, we have been using RainX on our windshield for about a year (reapply every few months) and it would make it MUCH easier to see if the wipers quit. We only use the wipers about 1/2 as much as before the RainX.
