that is also why they (gm) were able to identify the issue with the specific build dates of the clutch components. however, if a simple fluid change is able to resolve some if the issues that some have experienced with their clutch pedals then it is an easier more cost effective solution, imo, it's worth a shot. the issue with 6k shifts and clutch pedal not returning is due to centrifigal forces inside the clutch overpowering the clutch return springs. i would suspect that gm would have tried a fluid change instead of a costly tear down and replace as a fix but hey who knows. maybe the new fluid when they replace the clutch fixes the issue and not the new components....that's why i said it was worth a shot and something i would try before i would have it torn down. although, in the end, i still lean towards weak springs inside the clutch.
