Default small amber light ?
the wife and i went out for dinner friday night and she noticed a small amber colored light where the passenger visor clips in it seemed to go on and off at any time anyone know what this is and what it does , also noticed the drivers side does not have one thanks,bob

That's there just so it won't get too dark in the cockpit. Been there for several generations.

Shines down onto the gearshift area so that at night the MN6 guys can see what gear they are in.

2006 owner's manual, page 3-20.

An ambient light is located in the passenger sun visor
clip. This light stays on while driving to keep the
cabin from being too dark.

Good eyes Jim! Now I see it on page 171 of the '07 manual.

Wouldn't want that cabin getting too dark.
