8 days ago I finally did it and purchased my first Vette, a black/ebony '05 3LT with 17,000 mi. Once i drove it I fell in love. But this has turned out to be the worse car buying experience ever.
I didn't have the damn thing for one complete day and the "Service ABS System" prompt came up in the DIC. It shut down the ABS and shock systems. What the hell? I took it to the dealer and in one day they had it fixed. Right... The moment I got back in the car the dash lit up like a christmas tree - Service traction system, fuel system, abs, engine light, HUD, DIC...and the car took 15 seconds to shut down after pressing the ignition button.
Needless to say, it went back to the dealer and it's been there ever since. They say the main controller for the electrical systems went to s**t. What I want to know is has any of you ever heard of this problem or have any answers for me? Any help would be appreciated. I want my Vette back!!!

Never seen that many problems at once. If the dealer says bad ecm or bcm then that may be it. My first thought would have been a bad or weak battery. Some reason for low voltage. Good luck.

If it is a 3LT, it isn't a 2005. Top of the line in 2005 was option coded 1SB.

That many different and unrelated alarms points to something other than a module fault. I'd guess one of the major ground points has failed (loose or corroded). Most likely G106. Realtor Dan may be on to something with the flood damage comment.
Sounds like my old 2005...wonderful car, DSOM with 1SA + everything but Nav (back when you could actually do that). I adored that car.
But one day, everything started lighting up like the proverbial X-mas tree and everything started to go wrong. Eventually, the car worked itself into "Reduced Engine Mode" and wouldn't go over 2000 RPM and acted like it had no power steering.
Long story short, the damn thing was *finally* declared a lemon and towed away just a few days ago. I'm currently driving a 2006 Monty Red 3LT that I adore...I just wish I hadn't had those problems in the first place with the original one. Still, it didn't drive me away from Vettes at all.
My advice would be to push the dealer to A) Tell you exactly what is wrong with the car, not "the problem went away so it must be all right" (got that the first 2 times) and B) Either fix it or declare it a lemon fast. If you've got a 2005, there might not be much time under your applicable lemon laws.
I am NOT liking what I am hearing. Our 06/A6 has been in shop since Aug 11. Expecting call from GM today on what is happening. BUT it looks like BCM is the main culprit. They were supposed to have replaced yesterday and today or tomorrow they are to use a new diagnostic software. I really hope we do not have to go through the Lemon Law procedure IF we do I am thinking of a 07 STS-V Caddy, saw one the other day and that thing is SWEET, of course price is a bit much $77+K

This happened to me when I was test driving a silver 05... went with new 06.
