Default 06 vs 07 visable differences...

Now that the 07's are on the road I'm wondering what, if any, visable differences there are with the 05's and 6's?

I'll start with steering wheel controls, two-tone seat option and lack of console lock on 07's. Also no under hood light and no bump on right side of glovebox...if those things happen to be open.

Are the base stereo systems all the same in 2005, 2006, and 2007 in specs?
I know the 2006 base stereo has silver trimming on the *****. But I'm more interested to know if the stereo in 1SA or 2LT packages that doesn't have the navigation option is better in reception one year over the next year or are they all the same?.

My subjective opinion is that my base (2LT vert version made by Pioneer) is far superior in sound quality than the '05 (non nav) 6 CD disc XM stereo made by Bose that I had in an '05 coupe.

The F55 option in '07 has drilled brake rotors, as do '07 Z51 optioned cars. In '06 and '05 the only type with drilled rotors was the Z51.

The GM badge was added to the side of '06s, and not present on '05s.

Those are the only visible exterior differences of which I am aware.

Addendum: The rotor comment only applies to standard C6s, not ZO6s. And I forgot to mention the elimination of the XM "wart" from '06 on.

I know they moved from a '05 "wart" to a "dual" XM receiver in the mirrors in '06...but are the mirrors similar in shape to the '05, or do they have some sort of lump/bump?

No lump or bump on the mirrors. My 06 has the XM radio and the mirrors look just like the 05s.

Thanks...haven't personally seen a '06> with XM...sitting still.

I also was trying to differentiate exterior cosmetic changes between the my, on a roll up...besides the badges.
(It’s sometimes hard to see under hood lamps, steering wheels, *****, etc due to tint, speed)

Are there different options in wheels in ’07?

I think the base stereo on 1SA 2005 package is made by Siemens?
