GM PROTOTYPES or CONCEPTS maybe but not likely, a Co. as large as GM doesn't transport there cars on open flat beds. There are too many Spies trying to get a look or a photo. Espionage in the auto industry is big money.
Who ever owned them most likely didn't care if they were seen. Or maybe wanted them to be seen :smash: :cheers:

Highly unlikely. Early builds like that are always transported through Reliable or a similair auotomotive closed in carrier. Also, builds this far out would not be painted wild colors like that, they would be flat black or white or gloss black.

A longtime friend of mine (and C5 owner) works for GM and his office is at the Milford Proving Ground. I once discussed with him about GM transporting "future," "prototype" cars and he informed me they always use Reliable (fully enclosed) Transport to move cars from state to state. We've all seen these bright orange semis on the highway....My friend has nothing to gain by lying to me, and I have seen Reliable Transport Auto Carriers parked near GM displays at national car events.

nothing against firebirds, there kool cars but come onnnn GM!! Do they need new blood in GM's reasearch and development. maybe they ask us on our forum and we can come up with creative concepts. :chevy

I know GM is tight with there concept and prototype cars, but, I use to see the white prototype C5's and "Cormaro" cruising around the streets of Bowling Green all the time before the first C5 was ever unveiled. I chased one down the interstate toward the plant one day for about a mile before the driver stomped the gas and left me in his dust. Im still waiting to see a C6 prototype. I drive around the plant from time to time to see what I can see. I have a disposable camera in my car just in case.
