Thanks David for your help. Awesome conversation. I ordered my panel for my Borla ATAK today along with LED back up lights. No one has ever asked if the panel will fit the ATAK so I went to the Borla web site, called their CA office and asked them if the S type and Touring systems tips were any different in orientation than the ATAK. I was told by one of their systems experts that they were all the same. (we'll see) They should fit. I am willing to take that chance. When I install the panel the Borla guy asked me to send him an email with pictures and he will forward to his people for consideration of developing their version for their systems. He also said he never heard of this but it was very interesting. Thanks again David for being able to work with me and hopefully this could generate more orders for your company. You will be the first company I look to for any new parts for my 08 C6.

It was a slight challenge to get it to fit. I had to massage the holes a little due to the closeness of the tailpipes. It was a little bit of a bear to get it to slide over them. I had it powder coated black and that came out good. Cost me another $50, but worth it. Here's a couple photos.

Thanks Southern Car Parts. I'm happy with the results. I took it for a test drive and no rattles...

I couldn't disagree with you more. I think having the back end of my car showing the mufflers is butt ugly. It's a matter of opinion I suppose. Opinions are like a--holes every one has one. It doesn't make it right or wrong. Some people have put it on with a polished look and even an emblem on theirs. I wasn't crazy about that, but then again opinion comes into play.

I agree with you completely!! I'm not a "big fan" of addons, but these "fillers" are just the ticket to give the back of the Corvette a "finished" look that visible mufflers simply don't provide. I would, however, skip the flags as they're just a bit too much for my particular taste !!

This is the one that I made for my base 2006. I put z06 mufflers on and I like shiney stuff !! I bought a 24" x 36" sheet of 304 bright annealed non-magnetic stainless for $23. I did some measuring, pulled out my 35 year old metal nibbler and started cutting away. You'll notice that the holes for the tips are oval instead of round. I tend to do things a little different. Used door trim on all sharp edges. Attached with 6 stainless screws and flat -nuts. Total cost was $28. I don't charge myself any labor.

I prefer a more subtle look. $160 for this one. Too much bling with all chrome or polished SS. But hey ....whatever floats your boat.
