Someone posted that Mid America makes a switch for the underhood light in the 2005-2006 C6, but i can't find it in the current catalog. Can someone give me a page number? Thanks.
I also saw the posts about removing the bulb or loosening/unplugging the harness, but a switch would be classier...
Yes, it does time out after about 15 minutes - I timed mine.
But- if you park on an steep incline that can turn it on. Any time you open or close any door on the car the 15 minute timer seems to start all over, so if you're working on the car you can keep the light on darned near forever.
You can buy a switch from Radio Shack. That's were I bought mine and it looks very much like OE. Look under FAQ and someone had a DIY which was really good. Took me about 20 minutes to cut the hole and solder the connector.

I did a DIY on this... and reason for the switch is that at car shows opening and closing hood/doors would recycle the switch on-off sequence.
Just a few pics>>
One of the first things that I did when I got my car was to disconnect the light. Have no use for it, and don't have to worry about when it is on or off.
