C6 Engine?

C6 Engine?
A good friend of mine who's dad is perhaps one of the largest Corvette fans I've ever met, recently went on a Camping Trip in Colorado.
While he was there, he told me, he saw a large semi-truck with a big Corvette enblem on the side drive by. It stopped nearby and he and his dad took a walk over to check the thing out. Apparently, one of the guys in the truck is involved with the C5R race team and had a bit to do with the new C6.
He gave my friend a little bit of insight into the C6's powerplant.
Supposedly, it will be a "multi-cam version of the LS1"...
And, he made sure to say that there "WILL BE A C6 ZO6!"
I'm guessing a multi-cam LS6 would do the trick.
Also, the C6 will be made not only here in the States, but they will also have a right hand drive version available over in Europe.
They're going after Ferrari with this one...
Anyways, I wasn't sure if anyone had heard anything about this, and I'm new here so I didn't know if anyone had rock solid info about the C6 powertrain.
Either way, just thought I'd share what I'd heard...

It's only the UK in Europe that needs Right hand drive. I cant see them building them with the price of gas the way it is there.

The reason, he was told, that GM is planning on making the right hand version of the Corvette IS in fact because they plan to take them over to Europe. "They aren't just worried about competing with the Viper, they're going after Ferrari!" Those are the words I was told.
Perhaps the 'Vert will have to be traded in for one of these badboys :D
