Default why pictures???

I have to ask, whats the deal with the "unofficial rule" that everyone has to post pics of their vette when they get it? I can understand if its a new body style, color, mod, etc. But why do we need 100 pics of a black c6. I can understand if it's a sweet picture with a nice background, but otherwise i dont get it??

no offense

I think it's like a kid with a new toy. Owners are proud to be an new owner and just want to share their enthusiasm. It's the nature of the forum.

But it seems that its more that people ask for them, then the owners posting them on their own

No offense but you really don't have to get it. People are excited and proud of their vehicles. Of course we all know what the C6 looks like so we're not really seeing anything new. But just as how you would want to show your new car to your friends and family, that is what everyone is doing here. Showing their new found glory to their extended family of fellow Vette owners.

Call me crazy, but I feel like every vette is unique, and therefore more than worthy of many pictures! I'm always happy to see them!

It's like me saying, "No offense, but you're an idiot." Or better yet, "With all due respect, you suck."

BTW, you are NOT an idiot and you do NOT suck. I just think it's funny when people say "no offense, but..."

whats wrong with posting pictures. I agree above for some of us it's like a new toy for a 10 year old. I know this one is B****ing about me because I asked for pictures of some guys corvette. I just like to look like a lot of other here on the forum. Besides, why wouldn't you want to post pictures of your new baby?

I know tomorrow when my Lingenfelter arrives early morning I will be posting lots of pics. Keep watch. But I don't see what the big deal is!

I don't mind when an excited new owner posts a picture of his car. But I do agree that we've all seen a stock Corvette before. Such threads don't hold much interest for me.

I do like to see pictures of unique modified cars, or step by step how-to pictures, but if I want to see a picture of a stock C6, I can always look at the Chevy brochure. I'll find professionally done photos there.

I don't understand why people pic's of their C6 as avatars. If you want to show off your C6 in every post put it in a signature. That way us old farts don't have to strain our eyes to enjoy it.

I agree! For guys like me who probably won't be able to get a C6 for about two more years, it's nice to have beautiful pictures to drool over. I save all the good ones on my computers at home and work. The more the better! Keep em coming guys!
