Default Power Top

Got a new c6 06 convertible a few weeks ago. My power top makes a squeaky loud noise as the rear hatch opens and closes. Is this normal or something that needs attention?

thanks
steve

Mine is starting to squeek too. I think the hinges needs a little lubrication. Any ideas? WD40? Silicone spray?

I checked mine as well, no squeaks or noises; other than the normal of the top going up/down.

Same here, o5 no unusual noise at all, only problems are self inflicted, such as sliding thing under the partition and knocking it off the safety.First time that happened it took me awhile to figure out, I finally had to resort to the owners manual for the answer

mine made no noises but the switch needed to be replaced because it would jam half way...but the gm techs here are idiots...ended up scratching the fabric on my top and ruining a whole bunch of other things with the top....now the top is stuck fully closed and a new one is on order

It needs to be realigned. Take it to the dealer before you break something.
