Here's a picture of my front tire with #0734 on it. So I went up stairs just now and pulled my build sheet and sure enough it's the same last four numbers. Check out the tire.

The sequence numbers once only went to 500 or 999, and then they would start over again. You could have many cars with the same sequence number any model year. These days, it looks like the sequence numbers NEVER repeat, they just keep increasing as production continues.
If you restore an old Corvette, you will find the sequence number marked in grease crayon several places on the car to facilitate getting the right body pieces together (convertible or coupe) and the right options installed. Some of you have noted the same on your new C6s.
The sequence number on the tires is not new info, but congrats to lv2jmp for having the earliest, most complete and accurate answer. And, NO, lv2jmp, you don't win anything...this is all the prize you're going to get.
