I saw it. I also read that the design was changed on the ash tray. I'm hoping to also hear from owners who might not be having these problems. The sun visor dates back to the 05's. You would think GM could get it right.

My ash tray stays closed despite of all the coins I have in there. No problem with visor.

Default 2 months, 2000 miles no problems so far.....

My 2007 (VIN#1368) has no issues with the ash tray door or sun visor.

The only problem I have is running out of pavement to drive my car in the city......

No problems with either one. Actually, after a month, I have no problems with anything on the car. No rattles, squeaks, - nothing to complain about except the brake dust but that is hidden by the Comp Gray wheels.

2007 Build date of 8/22. No problems so far. However, I did have an air bubbling passenger side "corvette" sill plate (which another recent buyer at my dealer had both sides sill plates with air bubbles). Sounds like another cheap glue/adhesive job by GM (see delaminating roof and bubbling a-pillar) Its being replaced by my dealer under warrranty.

The ash tray in my 2005 works fine, as an ash tray. I don't know if it'll close or not, since I haven't closed it in the 31,000 miles I've had the car. I haven't had an issue with the passenger sunvisor, either. The only times I've moved it were to remove or install the top, which I've done fewer than half a dozen times.

I know why these ashtrays are not staying closed. It seems like when ever someone new rides in my 06 they, for some strange reason they open the ashtray door. Problem is they push THE BOTTOM and not the top. The ashtray "snaps" and opens. That is whats wearing out those little latch fingers . You guys have peeps doing this too.
