Too bad about your experience.....

I read a post by Guitarstar and the vender he used flew 2000 miles to install his front grille......

Now I must admit that is customer service!

What about

Pipedreams at http://www.nakidparts.com/id19.html

Raffi at http://rpmcomposits.com

Steve at https://ultramicrofiber.com

Greg at https://www.GScreationsLLC.com

The point being there are pleanty of vendors that respond and want the business...no need to waste time and energy that could be spent driving or working on your Vet, rather than wasting time sending e-mails, or phoning people who just don't care, or are too busy to take care of the customer. A lot of small businesses that grow too fast look at the customer as an interruption to their work rather than their work.

As a vendor, I will put my own .02 in, but it only applies to me, and this is only for people who wonder why I might be slow to respond at times.

For me, email is best. I am also a pilot for Delta Airlines, and I fly internationally. I can't always return phonecalls in a timely manner, but if I get a PM or email, I try to follow it up as quickly as possible. Sometimes it might take me 24 hours to get to a location with email, and sometimes, I might be on a 6 day trip, but I eventually respond to all emails, and that is why email is best for me.

No offense....but are you nuts or do you just need a dope slap ? Two days and your going to wait until the end of the week...go to another vendor, get what you want and then wait and see if the original vendor ever gets back to you. You're spending 5K, if thats not enough incentive for someone to call back what the hell is.

I have had the same problems, it is not you. I also had the same problem as jperaino did.

I emailed Rick Daniel and received an immediate response. I obviously went with Rick. Each question was answered in a timely manner from Les Stanford Chevrolet. They know how to keep a customer.

As far as some of the other vendors, if they do not respond within a normal business day of so, I move on to someone that will.

The vendors that have answered my emails/phone calls go above and beyond, so they get all of my business ($$$).

My hat is off to the great vendors out there.

As a person that runs a internet business, we recieve over 500 spam emails per day if we have all filters off. With some filters turned on we still get over 50 spam emails/day but we loose about 5 legitamate emails/week. I was missing more emails by manually filtering than I am by using automatic filtering so that is the way we are going.

If somebody missed your email try again, or use the phone. If I were spending $10000 I would want to be talking to them in person not over email.

True.. ppl do have the tendency of not calling back tho... I guess its like an email, a lost memo about returning a call....

Just for your own information, five figures does not mean $5,000.
Add another digit. In fact, I've got one for you .

SHHHHH! I'm still working on that. I want to have all my ducks in a row so I can pull the trigger at a moment's notice.

He's correct, it can mean anything from $10,000.00 to $99,999.99 although I doubt that you are planning on the latter. Either that, or you are one fantastic salesman. . .

I was going to suggest the phone call. You beat me to it. Most don't realize / understand commercial spam filters. Our company now uses i/m most of the time.

There is a Forum vendor that I have spoken very highly of on this site, but I emailed them three weeks ago looking for a part and then called them and have yet to get a return response. I have since bought the part local, so it will be interesting to see if the forum vendor evr ships my the part I no longer need.

I have spent money with this vendor in the past, so he knows that I am not a "tire kicker".

E-mail is just the new way of not returning your phone call.

Default Update On My Posts

Up date. Thursday 9 14 AM. By a strange turn of events I heard from one of the companies I had emailed. The best bet is my E. got caught up by spam filters.
This is very possible and I accept this. We talked by phone after doing an email exchange and I have an appointment to see their facility and discuss work needed.
As I stated in my first post on this matter I will not reveal names.

Let’s see what happens now, if all works out well my bank account is going to take a serious hit in the future.

OBTW on the same subject a very well know company Pmailed me a couple days ago to inquire if perhaps his company was one of the offenders. It appears some vendors do read our posts
I replied no it was not, but thanked him for his inquire. His company is well known here and definitely a good one. If I ever need the products he has I will be back in touch with him. I did talk to his company while at Carlisle and was well treated by his people.

It's the courtesy of a returned phone call. I myself am in sales and understand the importance of communication with my current and future clients. When I get a call asking me for something that I can't deliver, I still take the time to return the call to inform them about the situation. I do this because I may be able to help them in the future and I don't want to burn any bridges. The best way to grow and kill your business is through word of mouth.

Hell, I'm not even sure that my messages were read, I sent them out with a read conformation as my ISP allows. I know that it does not work on some ISPs. I have not got any conformations back from either vendor. The forum vendor I mentiones is one of the best in their line of work, and I spent about a 1/2 hr with them Friday at Carlisle. I mentioned this in the E.and was trying to get a couple more answers before I cut a deposit check and made arangements to drop my car off.

Like I said before I have doubts that my message has even been read.
To me this non reading and/or responding is not good business sense.

Right now I'm just blowing steam. Possibly I will ATTEMPT to contact them by phone, but if I can not get a human and get stuck in voicemail hell I will contact the second choice vendor on my list.

Dude, first let me say I realize I am new and should keep my big mouth shut but I agree totally with you. I make a living running my own company and there is no excuse for not ressponding to your customer or future customers. This crap of they are car people is bull and we all know this. If you are not going to answer the e-mail pull down the address and go about other ways of doing business. Sorry for pizzing off the world on my third post!!!!
