IF the GM bra is like the Colgan, than no you won't need the snaps Mr.W.
The C6 bra is a totally different animal than the C5.
First time you try installing it you'll be scratching your head but-good, just as many of us did.
One thing about [the] snaps is they're self explainatory as oppsed to the gizmos used to fasten the C6 bra.
In any event I'm sure you already know to attempt the first-time install when it's hot outside, the hotter the better.
When new the things are really tight until stretched, and heat sure aids getting 'em plyable.
