Bought a C6 last night!

Last night I traded in my 2001 coupe for a 2006 victory red coupe! I've been on the forum for a while but I always stayed in the C5 section! I bought the car at Paradise Chevrolet in Temecula and they were very nice and easy to work with. The only thing that is kind of bothering me is that as soon as I drove off the lot the check engine light came on. When I took it back they said it was just the gas cap and that it wouldn't do it again, has anyone else had this problem? I also wanted to see what the deal is with that enviromental paint warranty thing. I didn't get it but they were really pushing it. Is it worth it? Ok well Hi everyone!

A loose gas cap will turn on the CEL.

The cap could be the cause of a CEL, and the paint warranty thing is pure profit for the dealer.

Forgive me, but what is an environmental paint warranty? I have purchased 7 Corvettes over the years an this is the first I have heard of it.
