some advice
Make sure you check everything before leaving, especialy if there is orange peel.
I got a call that my car was ready for pickup at the dealer body shop.
When I dropped it off on Monday ,I made sure I told the shop foreman I want it perfect ,no orange peel or overspray. Not in a demanding way just in passing. He said it will be perfect.
Anyway I looked it over and what do you know,it had big time orange peel on the low area of the fender from the vent all the way down
I mean you can feel it like goose bumps.
I just casually told him that it was not exceptable.
They brought it back in the shop, took half hour and it was good.
My whole point of this is ,why can't they see this before tuning it over to the customer?

Guess this sunday I will have to doctor it up myself.

with your post 100%. It seems like the lower areas on the body panels are more prone to orange peel than other areas since I had the same exact thing happen to me, except my dealer body shop told me they couldn't buff it our right away since the paint was "too soft", they said wait a week before bringing it in.
I will never bring my car to a dealer to have it repainted again after learning this lesson the hard way. She will get taken to body shops exclusively after this.

1. Check your car first before paying them for the paint job (they made me pay them first before taking me out and showing me the car).
2. Make them get rid of any wax they might have used to cover up the paint and hide defects from the customer.
3. Look at the whole car including adjoining panels for overspray, paint blend, color and texture match, etc. Look at it from different angles.
