Default check oil level

The second day after picking up my 2007 vert, the "Check Oil Level" message came on. Took it to the dealer and the services manager stated the sensor is on national backorder meaning there is a lot of problems with this sensor. Has anyone elce experienced this problem on a C6.

No, I picked up my LMB 07 coupe at the Corvette museum last Friday and drove 900 miles home. Didn't use a drop of oil either.

Unless you drove 1000 miles a day i'd say there wasn't enough oil to begin with. That's strange most dealers overfill the oil not underfill. The day i got the check oil message was the first sighn i got one of the oil guzzlers. About 1 1/2 quarts per 2000mi. I have not heard of any issues with that sensor.

No problems here with sensor. Approaching first oil change with over 11K miles. Use only about 1/4 quart.

I've received this DIC warning twice in the last six months; once at startup after driving some distance and the other as I was shutting down after driving around town. Each time I checked the oil level and found it to be completely full. Figured I'd add to the list of things whenever I get the time and I'm in the proper mental state to deal with the service department. Please let me know what you find find out.

Yes, I had the oil level sensor in my car fail at 500 miles. Please note carefully that the troubleshooting chart in the shop manual is wrong. It has NO/NC backwards, and a tech following that guide will misdiagnose the problem. The wiring diagram is correct, however, and will lead the tech to the proper conclusion if you can convince him to follow the diagram instead of the troubleshooting chart. (Took me several tries to get the tech to understand this.)

My '07 coupe had a TPW of 07/17, took delivery on 07/31, and now has about 2,500 miles on it. I have not had to add any oil (checked level yesterday) and have had no false low oil warnings.
