New Corvette

Well, we had an 07:45 tour. What a great day this was. Our guide was Tom McFall. He has got to be the most knowledgeable Corvette guy I know now. He explained all facets of the building of the Corvettes. We met some of the workers there. They were very kind to my daughter and my hat is off to them for the fantastic product they build. CHEERS, Corvette workers and thanks! After that Tom took us thru the museum. He explained every car in the museum. WOW! We learned some very interesting facts. Finally, we got to the paper work then to my new dream car. Again, Tom went over all the switches with me. I am sure I remembered some of what he taught me.
Later that day we met up with a gentleman from Brite Ideas and he installed my new Monterey Red 39 brake light assy. It looks fantastic!
We finally got on the road about 16:00 and made it to Memphis. Got some sleep and drove all the way to Amarillo that day. It was nice to see some low gas prices finally. $2.17 was the lowest I think for reg.
We made it home sunday am averaging 27.6 mpg. This is the most comfortable car. I did not think it would be this nice to (fly). Our trip was the best and I would highly recommend if anyone is considering doing it to spring the extra $$ and go! I would love to go back and visit the factory and museum. Very nice folks out there.
Now a personnel thanks to all the Corvette Forum members that have helped me along the way. I appreciate your kindness and advice.
Last but not least is Les Stanford Chevrolet and Rick Daniel. They treated me right, answered all my dumb questions and closed the deal on my Corvette as advertised. Thanks Rick!
