In my youth, my father, the greatest man I have ever known, bought me a:

1970 Olds 442 W-30 (plus a lot of mods)
1973 Mustang Mach 1
1976 Pontiac Trans Am
1978 PontiacTrans Am (Smokey & Bandit)

Actually owned the Olds and both TAs at the same time.

Not a day goes by that I don't miss him.

No, I am not a hater. I don't hate the original poster because his dad bought him a Corvette. I don't hate his dad either. I don't know either of them, so I can neither like nor dislike (hate) them.

I can however, state my opinion about the wisdom of his dad buying him a Corvette, and... I just don't think that is a wise decision.
