I'm confused -- if I get this and install it, does the touch-screen integrated radio work like the XM would but with Sirius Channels?
Picked up mine at Best Buy $99. I installed it the same day and the "buttons" read the Sirius channels but the XM 1/2 stays the same. The voice command also stays the same. I love it.

I am picking up one on the way home today. Best Buy and Circuit City should have them. They range from $79-$99. I have read great things about this tuner on this forum. Do a search for "SIR-GM1" and you will find a lot of info on installation.
This sound too good to be true! I was worried about going back to XM that I didn't like when I had it years ago. Hope this can work on the '07s as well!
The reason I ask (is it universal) is because I'm hoping there's a universal unit which will allow me to covert our Ranges to XM. Does anyone know if these units are bisexual?
Somewhere I read it only works on Non-Bose systems. Any truth to this?
If this is the case, what type of Non-Bose sytems are there in the C6?
According to the instructions, it will work on all systems. However, the installation is different if your system is not XM ready. I have a 2007 Bose non-nav and the installation was a breeze.
FYI, the tuner is not recognized by my system. I have the non-NAV non-XM Bose system in the 1SB package (2005 model). I hooked it up to the back of the head unit and to the XM wiring harness present above the left rear tire. Both methods give me lighted LEDs on the SIR tuner, but hitting the band button only gives me AM/FM1/FM2. Seems like the HU needs to be told to look for the sat tuner.
I was going to call the dealer, but I am doubting they will be able to help. I have been driving around with it hooked up with the hopes that the HU might suddenly recognize it, but I doubt that will happen. I have not activated the Sirius service yet since I figured I would at least get a preview channel first.
