Default Correct jacking points?

I was involved in a disagreement w/ a friend at lunch regarding the correct jacking points for cars. He claims to be an expert on all things cars and while he doesn't own a corvette, began to explain how to jack up my car properly. Based on my knowledge and previous methods for jacking up my car, he was completely wrong.

But, I don't want to point out his lack of knowledge until I get all of the facts and I am absolutely positive. So, can anyone in the forum provide me with the exact areas for properly jacking up the front and rear of the car to avoid damage? I appreciate the input and help.

Thanks...

Check out the FAQ section at the top of this page and you will find a drawing with the jacking points.

Thanks. I will!

I found the link:

Based on the diagram, he was wrong. His points would have damaged the axle.
