The C5 did not just get new wheels and door lock revamp. It also received 5HP, Active Handling, Heads Up Display, convertible model introduced, FRC model introduced, Z06 model introduced, new colors, Aluminum automatic transmission cooler case, just to name a few.

Perhaps you don't consider any of these things as new and/or improved, but then I don't know what to tell you. The convertible, FRC, and Z06 were totally new models back then. I think they would be considered MAJOR changes, wouldn't you?

New wheels. Also, C5 (coupe) did set the record for longest continuous body style w/ out a single change to the shape.

I don't discount the C5's obvious improvements over the years, but I'm talking visual items only here.....styling changes, wheels, interior....and maybe some major hardware like a new engine.

A lot of comedians in here . To be fair, I did say "in one form or another" . Wheels barrrrely count, but hey, you must admit theres no mistaking a 97-99 from a 2000-2004!

Your Z06's look good by the way

Not sure if you're talking to me as it sounds like you are. If not, ignore me. If you are, I also said...

So yes, it got new models, but no refresh. The only visual distinction between a 97 and 04 coupe would be the wheels and missing keyhole, right?
BTW, didn't active handling just go from being an option, to standard equip?

Don't hold your breath. C7 is next major change. Little ones like the two tons seats is all we'll see for now.
