Default door touch sensor

Anyone with a driver side touch sensor to (open the door) acting up? Its not the fob battery because the passenger door opens easily every time. I guess I should be happy that its not delaminating!

What do you mean by acting up? If it opens easily every time, where's the problem?

The driver outside must be pressed hard and sometimes your fingers have to be moved around to get it to open. The passenger side opens very easily.

It could be a radio reception problem on that side of the car only. Does it always act up when you're parked in the same place?

Maybe you right-hand touch is different from your left-hand touch?

I haven't had a problem with the door switches, but I have had problems with the hatch switch. The switches aren't that well sealed, dirt and water can get into them and cause intermittant contact. They are very easily changed.

About two months ago the drivers side window would keep indexing when the door was closed. The dealer orders some parts which didn't fix the problem. Chevy factory techs were of no help. So, the last time I took the car in the touch pad started acting up. You would have to keep pressing at different spots for the door to open. The dealer replaced the door touch pad and fixed the window indexing problem. Was lucky the touch pad started acting up at the dealers. Depart for Libya the day after the car was fixed, and I assume it is okay, no complaints for the wife.

Yep thats my problem also, it worked great up to a few weeks ago. Ill wait until my next oil change and just have the factory replace it. As SHOPDOG states its easy to change so they wont screw anything up!
