Trunk wouldn't open....

Trunk wouldn't open....
I closed the trunk while my wife's jacket was over the latch mechanism without realizing it.....trunk closed but wouldn't open....had to lift the top half way and remove the conv partition to get in the back....tugged on the jacket from behind but it wouldn't pull out completely....finally had to GENTLY pry up the trunk with a screw driver (using a towel of course to protect the paint) and it finally popped open....what a PITA but at least everything is back to working condidtion.....

I had something like that happen, but I got in by using the key in the trunk spot on my Vert. Turned the key and had my wife push down on the trunk and it opened.

tried that also...the jacket just jammed up the locking mechanism real good....
