Default VK3 front plate bracket

Quick question - I have an 07 on order, due to me in 5 weeks. My dealer located an "orphan", identical to what I ordered, all options and colors correct, but it has the VK3 front plate bracket installed.

Is this a "permanent" mod where the car would either have a different front grille or the vehicle is otherwise "scarred" or modified as a result of this option being included? Or is this a completely removable option

thanks,
Mark

If the directions are the same as for an 06 and he followed them then it very well might be screwed in in 2 places. Should be easy enough to tell - just call the dealer.

Thanks for the reply - by screwed in, you mean through holes added/modified in the grill not otherwise present, or though permanent holes that you'd find in any C6, regardless of whether the optional dealer front plate bracket was installed.

I'm not trying to be overly paranoid about two screw holes, I'm just trying to fully understand the situation going in. . .I'm 1,200 miles from the dealer, and the folks on the phone were a little uncertain in answering my question.

thanks, please keep the replies coming!

The front plate bracket attaches to the upper portion (bumper) of the front valence. The bracket has adhesive pads on the back that stick to the car. In addition, it has two screw holes that in the beginning some dim bulbs at the dealerships were screwing into the painted front fascia. If it is in place with just the adhesive it is a simple matter to remove. If it is screwed in, well you can just guess. The bracket comes with the car but it is put on during PDI. It does not ship from the factory with the bracket attached so there is still hope.
