how much wheel spin do you guys have when shifting into 2nd and 3rd gear full throttle? how much tire/mechanical grip does it take to get a wraps on 400-460 engine horse power ?

When my car was stock, I could spin easily in 2nd, and some in 3rd. Now its easy to spin in both. I have 345's on the rear. 525 rwhp now.

you should bump those 345's up to 355's then report back with your findings.

it all depends on what tire you buy.

I have et street SS's on the back... I actually went back down to stock sizes from the 305s (which threw a traction control / braking issue) for me and i can hold 1st gear right now (since they are brand new)

I think at 4xx you don't really need a wider tire but a stickier or better brand ... Just a thought.

I also have re-71rs which will be my "winter" tire which can probably start holding around 3rd in 60 degree weather
